Discover vast sand dunes; learn the history of the wrecks washed up on the beaches; go for a walk through the wide variety of plant communities growing in sand and ranging from coastal heaths to subtropical rain forests; go for a swim in some unique and beautiful areas and try to spot whales from the sunny beaches.

• Whitsunday Island Cruise - Enjoy a full-day cruise through the beautiful Whitsunday Passage and behold views of the archipelago’s rugged islands. On June 3, 1770, or Whit Sunday according to the Christian Church, Captain Cook guided the Endeavor through the passage and named it after the Christian holiday. Your cruise includes a stop at White Haven Beach, home to Australia’s purest white sand, for an included barbeque lunch.

Day 11 - Airlie Beach | Townsville | Cairns
