Breaking the Rules

When travelers enroll on tour, they agree to EF’s Rules of the Road. If travelers do not conform to these regulations or any specific rules set by their Group Leader, they risk dismissal from the tour, returning home at their own expense with no refund for the missed tour portion. Decisions regarding tour dismissal are up to EF and/or the Group Leader.

All the rules will be discussed prior to travel and some might be added as a result of situations during travel. Regulations include but are not limited to EF's Rules of the Road, such as the prohibition of hitchhiking, driving or renting of any motor vehicle, having visitors of the opposite sex in students rooms, or drinking under the age of 18 or without parent consent or adult supervision.

Failure to follow rules set by EF and/or the Group Leader may result in terminating the traveler from the tour, immediately. EVERYONE, should understand that to disobey such rules or directions is to waive the right to a refund of any part of the program fee, and that the Group Leader or EF may send the traveler home at the traveler's/parents own expense.

I don't want to be put in a situation to make the choice of sending a student home early...but, I will not hesitate to take immediate action if I need to make a tough decision. I want each and every traveler to enjoy and learn from this experience and I will not allow any individual to have a negative impact on the groups experience.
